In April 2018 we released the first edition of our fanzine 'Not the Spin'. It quickly became widely respected on the County circuit and after our first edition sold 300 copies our 3rd edition attained a readership of many thousands.
We have assembled an array of top class writers who contribute to our critically acclaimed fanzine writing on issues that affect Lancashire fans and indeed across the whole county circuit.
Executive editor and founder member of the Action Group. Ian was dismayed with the redevelopment of the ground and started a petition to improve members facilities. He was banned from Old Trafford the day after the Club received a copy of Not the Spin. "Being only able to see the back of a sight screen from the pavilion used to be the highlight of my time at Old Trafford" but life goes on says Ian.
Part of our editorial team Roy has written prolifically on cricket over the past 30 years. His titles include Cyril Washbrook for ACS, 'Heads or Tails' Lancs captains 1864/1992 and 'Lancashire CCC wicket keepers The Victorian Era'. Roy has also spoke at 22 cricket societies and has been a Lancashire member since 1975. Roy was awarded the MBE for his services to construction and helping apprenticeships in 2010.
A respected journalist of over 40 years editing a number of Daily newspapers including the Daily Express. Stuart is a lifelong Lancashire fan and has also written books on Lancashire legends Jonny Briggs and A.N.Hornby.
Paul wrote on football and cricket for the Guardian for over ten years and we are honoured and delighted he has agreed to write articles for Not the Spin.
Garry has contributed to numerous sports fanzines on cricket, football & Rugby League including the Lancashire fanzines "366 and all that" & "the name of the rose". He first watched Lancashire in 1972, becoming a member in 1980 and a Life member in 1982.
Timothy is a respected Business psychologist and one of Lancashire's best known fans. He previously represented the Club on the Members Representative Group before realising his time was better served watching paint dry. Timothy was also banned from Old Trafford the day after the Club received a copy of Not the Spin.
